Everybody here put in a clutch before? Good, then we'll hurry right through this part.

New seal in clutch hub nut. New pushrod, since the old one showed wear. New clutch disc. At this point I found out another problem with the CCI inner primary... The clutch hub was scraping against it. I had to pull the hub back off and beat on the primary with a mallet and steel rod to get it to clear.

Note to self... mount motor sprocket, primary chain and clutch shell as a unit. Do not put motor sprocket on first.

Note to self #2: install shifter clevis to transmission shift top before installing inner primary, and especially before installing clutch...

52 long rollers replace the flimsy tin retainer and the little rollers...

Ram Jet retainer hold rollers in and keeps the clutch from sliding outward and grabbing...

Discs go in, alternating with the steel plates (check them buffer balls!) that are staggered to the keys inside the clutch shell...

Pressure plate is slid over the clutch studs and nuts tightened to bring spring pressure even.

Adjust transmission so you have about 1/2" of primary chain up and down movement.
