I saw the "OHV Deluxe" emblems in a catalog and decided I wanted the little pieces of frou-frou on the bike. If you decide the same, BEWARE! They have 2 mounting studs each. I installed the first and used a 1/4" drive ratchet to tighten it (duh). The stud broke off. Not to be so stupid again, I held the socket between thumb and finger for the next one. Snapped a stud off it too. Now they are held on with 1 carefully hand-tightened stud and some emblem adhesive on the back surface...

In one of my initial posts to RMH I asked a question about the 3rd light in the 3 light dash I had bought... was it neutral or high beam. Luckily I didn't get flamed too bad; being a newbie at the VB&G, never having read the FAQ, and not buying a round for the thirsty folks who replied. I got conflicting answers, but in any case the LED in the handlebar switch cover was taking care of the high beam, and come to find out my tranny top was pre-1959 and thus pre-neutral switch. The unused bulb hole bugged me (how was I going to explain it to anyone who asked what it was for???) and the plastic dash jewels looked kind of cheesy to me, so I bought a 2 light. Now I had another dilemma... the cover is not made for the newer 6 terminal switch. A Dremel tool with a cutting wheel solved the problem of the extra terminal shorting to the dashplate.

Gee, some folks don't even have the manual for their Harley... The Whatzit takes 3 service manuals and 2 parts manuals to figure out all the different things on it! Glad I didn't wait for the movie to come out!
