Replaced the cad pedal and painted backing plate with a new chrome jobbie. New chrome master cylinder too.

OK, so some cute college co-ed said " I like your bike. When are you going to chrome it out?"

I hope my wife isn't reading this...

I didn't have front turn signals before, and the rear ones were just single filament bullet lights that I had wired up to light during the day whenever the button was pushed (direction selected by a switch on the cast dash... remember I handshift so I have no clutch side controls or switches), and doubled as running lights that turned off when the button was pressed at night . This year both front and rear are dual filament so the low side comes on with the running lights and the high side acts as a turn signal only. This was the best way I could figure to mount the front bullets: it's just a chrome muffler strap with the other end bolted to the spotlight stud. Any other suggestions?

You really can't see it on the original pictures of the bike, but there was an amazing gizmo I rigged up to hold the front banana off the rotor. It was a couple of pieces of 1/8" aluminum and a truck clutch spring. Andy clued me in to the right way to do it... remember, I lost track of how things were done after the bike was built in 1980.
